Janet's Biog
Janet A. McLeod has been a fixture of the Melbourne comedy scene for nearly twenty years, working both onstage as well as behind the scenes with equal success and enthusiasm.
Janet hosts regular trivia nights around Melbourne and runs weekly comedy nights including the very popular Local Laughs - Monday nights (8.30pm)at The Local Taphouse in St Kilda East (184 Carlisle St).
Janet can be heard at least once a fortnight on ABC Local Radio's Overnights With Trevor Chappell, and still pops up occassionally as Australian correspondent for The Bruce Millar Show on SAfm Johannesburg. (Tune in if you're in the area.) Janet has also been a regular on Triple R (six years on The Cheese Shop alongside the late, great Dave Taranto) as well as an occassional guest/special correspondent for Triple J and Radio 5 Live, London.
Janet's credits include Festival Director/Co-ordinator of the Harp Village Comedy Festival, producer of Great BIG Comedy Night special events, and originator and co-host of Quiz Internationale, Melbourne's most popular and longest running live comedy trivia night. She was also producer and resident host of Planet Comedy - a weekly stand up comedy night at The Prince Patrick Hotel in Collingwood, and producer and techno wiz for Comedy @ Vibe on Smith St - Melbourne's most/only cutting edge multi-media weekly stand-up night.
Janet is not married, has no pets or children and shares her flat with far too many toys for one adult to own.
